After his thrilling return to the Ultra Music Festival, Skrillex is set to share new music. Is this an April Fool’s prank or a real announcement?

Skrillex officially announced his departure from Atlantic Records last year and is set to release new music very soon. While he hasn’t formally released anything yet, the American producer is actively engaging fans by sending new tracks directly to their emails through a sign-up link on his website. Recently, he made a powerful return to Miami for a standout main stage performance at Ultra Music Festival. Later today, he will host an exclusive private listening party in the same city at 8 PM EST. To amplify the excitement and speculation, his latest social media post boldly features a collection of tracks paired with an infomercial-style voiceover declaring, “We got the hard drive. Everything must go,” alongside a young girl stating, “Skrillex is dead.” The clip sounds like his old dubstep tracks with more surprises.

The short clip, set against a plain black screen, concludes with a vocal segment from Skrillex, featuring what seems to be an unreleased track. With tomorrow being April 1st, some fans are worried that the iconic producer might be playing tricks on them. However, many remain hopeful. Given the mix of social media engagement and a listening party that’s scheduled, fans everywhere are eagerly crossing their fingers, hoping that new music from Skrillex will officially be available on streaming services tomorrow.
