Skrillex has surprise-released a new album titled F*ck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol But Ur Not!! <3. The 34-song LP features numerous collaborators and guest artists, including Virtual Riot, Space Laces, Dylan Brady, Boys Noize, Wuki, and many others. The opening track, “SKRILLEX IS DEAD,” sets the stage for an album best listened to from start to finish, as it plays as a 46-minute continuous mix that builds upon itself, culminating in a soaring finish.
On the night of March 31, after a listening party in Miami for a select group of lucky fans, Skrillex released the entire album/mixtape through a Dropbox link sent via email to fans who had signed up for his mailing list. Yesterday, he officially made the album available on all streaming services. This album marks Skrillex’s second-to-last release, as he indicated that F*ck U Skrillex should fulfill his “final project” for Warner Music Group’s Atlantic Records and begin his transition to working as an independent artist, a move he announced in a series of posts on X in November 2024. This album is full of nostalgia and skrillex old dubstep sound.
